I am a Computational Linguist specializing in linguistically informed applications to Natural Language Processing and Artificial Intelligence. My current work focuses on narrative analytics, AI and the Law, computational semantics, and social media analytics. I have expertise in computational approaches for less commonly studied languages, with a strong specialization on Persian (Farsi, Dari, Tajik) and Armenian. My research in theoretical linguistics focuses on the analysis of complex predicates, the syntax-semantics interface, lexical semantics, and the computational representation of language.

I am currently a Principal Artificial Intelligence Engineer in the Judicial & Legal Technology Modernization department at the MITRE Corporation, a not-for-profit organization that operates federally-funded research and development centers for the government.
